The PublicHealth -Community Nutrition includes activities for students to learn to use the databases and reports that are available to assess a Linn County, Iowa using communities characteristics, resources, walkability, healthy food access, disease prevalence, and other behavioral indicators.  The student then summarizes the Assessment, identifies a aim/goal for the next three years, identifies an approach and strategy and specific dietitian activities, and indicators to monitor progress.  This is summarized in an executive summary for the County Board of Health and students make a video to answer a question from the Board on why their project should be funded.
